A 22-year-old Carson City man was arrested Tuesday evening after deputies said he repeatedly violated a restraining order served only hours before.
Aaxel Rey Aguilar was arrested Aug. 12 by the Carson City Sheriff’s Office on suspicion of violating an extended protection order for domestic violence along with felony parole violation after deputies were dispatched multiple times to North Carson Street.
According to the arrest report, a deputy was initially dispatched at about 4:25 p.m. to the 1900 block of North Carson Street after Aguilar, who had recently been served with a domestic violence restraining order, was seen in front of a business near the address he had been barred from going near.
About an hour later, the manager of another business contacted deputies and reported Aguilar was at the business lying in front of their roll-up door, according to the report. Deputies responded, but Aguilar was gone by the time they arrived.
As deputies were leaving, they wrote Aguilar was spotted walking through a parking lot at 1802 N. Carson St. The arresting deputy wrote that Aguilar was about 65 yards from the location he’d been barred from, placing him within the 100-yard restriction contained in the protection order.
Aguilar told the deputy he was there to meet with a property manager regarding an apartment lease, according to the arrest report. The deputy reported the office was closed and no one answered the telephone when contacted.
The deputy wrote that it was the third time deputies had dealt with Aguilar being within 100 yards of the location covered by the order in a short time frame. Aguilar was arrested and transported to the Carson City jail.
While Aguilar was being taken to jail, Nevada Parole and Probation placed a no-bail hold on him, according to the report. He was booked on the restraining-order violation and the parole violation.
The restraining-order charge carried a $3,000 bond, while the parole hold was placed without bail.
