A Douglas County teen has been identified as the victim in July’s OHV crash on the border between Carson City and Douglas County.
On the night of July 29, 2026 responders from Carson City and Douglas County were dispatched to an area on the county line on report of a side-by-side accident with multiple injuries.
Today, the sheriff’s office identified the individual who died as a result of the crash:
The Carson City Coroner’s Office has identified the decedent from the OHV crash as 18-year-old June Melody Bowles, who was a resident of Douglas County.
Lifesaving measures were initiated at the scene by first responders.
Bowles was pronounced deceased at the scene on July 29, 2026.
This is still an ongoing investigation with the CCSO Investigations Division.
Final Autopsy findings are pending with the Washoe County Regional Medical Examiner’s Office.
