Carson City Sheriff’s Office and Douglas County Sheriff’s Office personnel are currently working alongside fire and rescue first responders on the scene of a side-by-side off-roading crash.

At least one fatality has been reported.

Sheriff Ken Furlong said there are an additional three injured, but the extent of their injuries is unknown at this time.

The crash happened at the very southern point of Carson City backcountry bordering Douglas County, south of the Carson River.
