Carson City, Nev. (Aug. 6, 2025) — The Carson City School District is proud to recognize The Greenhouse Projectas its August Community Partner of the Month. The Greenhouse Project (TGP) was recognized as a Legacy Level partner for their ongoing commitment to supporting local schools and for their generous financial and in-kind contributions to enhance the educational and cultural experiences for students in Carson City.

As part of its Community Partner Program, the school district features a local business or organization each month for their commitment to helping schools and children have better opportunities and experiences in alignment with the district’s Strategic Plan goals.

TGP is considered a Community Partner at the Legacy Level because they support four or more Strategic Plan goals regularly, including providing funds for teachers to attend professional development directly related to agriculture (Goal 1), work-based learning experiences and support for agricultural education instruction (Goal 2), supporting the Agricultural and Natural Resources Career and Technical Student Organization (CTSO) and Future Farmers of America (FFA) clubs financially and in outreach experiences that include public speaking and service learning (Goal 3), sharing the principles of sustainability and wellness (Goal 4) and providing post-secondary scholarships for Agriculture students who have completed a minimum of two years Agricultural Education and maintained active membership in FFA (Goal 5).

The Community Partner Recognition System aims to build a stronger, more engaged community dedicated to the success and well-being of its students. Additionally, it acknowledges and celebrates the valuable contributions of our community partners as they align with the goals found in the Carson City School District Strategic Plan Empower Carson City 2027.

  • Goal 1: Exceptional Staff
  • Goal 2: Curriculum that Matters
  • Goal 3: Engaged Parents and Families
  • Goal 4: Healthy Generations of Carson Students
  • Goal 5: Community in Full Partnership

The school district looks forward to continuing this valuable partnership and encourages other community members and businesses to consider how they can contribute to the success of students.
