James T. Spencer October 23, 1948 – July 21, 2026
James “Jim” Thomas Spencer passed away on July 21, 2026, at the age of 77. Born on October 23, 1948, in Redlands, California, Jim lived in Minden, Nevada, and worked for many years in Carson City where he served with the Office of the Nevada Attorney General. As an attorney, Jim was a consummate writer and an incisive intellect. As a person, Jim was kind, caring, humble, and possessed a great sense of humor. He loved animals–foremost his (always) two dogs. He loved the outdoors, and motivated many to hike with him to the tops of Job’s Peak and Mount Rose.
So much more should be noted about Jim, so an event to honor him is set for August 6 at 4 p.m. at Fox Bar and Grill in Carson City. All who knew him are welcome
