Here are the 2010 winners of the Carson City Silver Dollar Car Classic held this weekend at Mills Park. The event brought hundreds of car enthusiasts to Carson City for the weekend before many moved on to Reno for the Hot August Nights celebration.

Among the winners, there were three speciality picks. These winners and the images of their cars will be featured on T-shirts and advertisements for next year’s event. They are:

Chick’s Choice – 1954 Corvette, owner Fred Takashima; Vancouver, Washington

Of the coveted award, the couple said they had a wonderful time visiting Carson City and look forward to coming to the show next year.

Producer’s Pick – 1941 Willy’s 2 Door Coupe, owner Jim Godec; Carson City, Nevada

Last year’s “Bad to the Bone” winner took home this year’s prized Producer’s Pick. Unique to this year’s show was the addition of a Chevy Big Block with a Dellarto Induction System and suicide doors making it a pro street car, Godec said.

Judge’s Pick (Best of Show) – 1935 Ford 5 Window, owners Ray & Jackie Zaro; Carson City, Nevada.

Zaro, who has entered the car show for 15 years, credits the addition of pointed flames done by Kustom Kreations in Carson City for the Best of Show place.

“It was the flames. That’s what did it,” said Zaro.
