• Regional beauty queens and 4-H kids recite the Pledge of Allegiance at the grand opening of the NV150 Fair.

Nevada Gov. Brian Sandoval and Carson City Mayor Robert Crowell presided over the official ribbon cutting to open the Fair on Thursday. The Governor was a member of 4-H and once showed sheep, so he felt right at home among the 4-H kids.

Today’s events are as follows:

8 am – Swine Showmanship Livestock Show Ring

10 am – Meat Goat showmanship – Livestock Show Ring

11 am – Dairy Goat Show- Livestock Show Ring

12 noon- fair opens with vendors and carnival

1 pm – Larry Elliot & Good Time Music – Park Stage

2 pm – Junior & Open Dairy Cattle Show – Livestock Show Ring

2 pm – In Stride Music Combo – Brewery Arts Center Stage

2:30 pm – Petty Theft – A Tribute to Tom Petty – Park Stage

4 pm – The Mountain Girls Band – Park Stage

5 pm – Beef Showmanship – Livestock Show Ring

5 pm – CW & Mr. Spoons – Brewery Arts Center Stage

6 pm – The Mountain Girls Band – Park Stage

6:30 pm – Sheep Showmanship – Livestock Show Ring

7 pm – Mark Twain’s Nevada – Brewery Arts Center Stage

8:30 pm – Capitol Cutups Square Dancers – Brewery Arts Center Stage

7:30 pm – Mike Curcio as Wyatt Earp – Grandstand -paid event

8 pm – Comstock Cowboys in concert – Grandstand – paid event

9 pm – Petty Theft – A Tribute to Tom Petty – Park Stage
