On Tuesday July 23rd Carson City Little League Senior All Stars (15/16 year old) did something that has not been done Since the early 1990’s. They won a State Title by defeating Mountain Ridge Little league from Las Vegas in the Championship game at Governors Fields. With this win, they now have the ability to send 12 players and 3 coaches to the Little League Western Regional Tournament in Ontario California. On top of that, tonight, July 26, 2012 at 5:30pm our Little League Junior team (13/14 year olds) is in the Championship game and are one game away from winning another Little League State title if they defeat Las Vegas’ Paseo Verde team. Paseo Verde needs to beat Carson twice to advance. If our Juniors win, they will have the opportunity to advance to the Western Regional tournament in Vancouver, Washington. Both Western Regional Tournaments are being held from July 31, 2012 through August 7, 2012. This would be the first time ever that 2 Carson Little League teams advance to a Western Regional Tournament.
WE NEED YOUR HELP FAST TO GET THESE PLAYERS AND COACHES THERE!!! Both teams will need to leave for their destinations no later than Sunday July 29, 2012 to check in on the 30th. Due to the costs of starting this new Junior/Senior/Big League program here in Carson and other costs of running a Little League Program our funds have depleted and we can only come up with a small amount to help these teams advance.
