Staff Reports

A 24-year-old Carson City man, Damien Wallace, was arrested in the area of Colorado St. and Blue Haven Ln. following a road rage incident that led to felony crimes.
According to the arrest report, the reporting party stated she had been traveling with her two minor children through Washoe Valley when she came up behind a vehicle traveling at a slower speed.
The woman said she and other vehicles drove around the vehicle, and she ended up in front of it. She said she was driving ten miles over the speed limit, and the vehicle began tailgating her but she chose not to move over due to her speeding.
She told deputies she saw the driver, later identified as Wallace, pull out a gun as he continued to tailgate her. She said he held the gun outside the driver’s window, and she stated she believed she was shot at because she saw “a powder coming from the handgun,” according to the report.
She said she exited the freeway at East William St., and the vehicle continued to follow her before it eventually made a U-turn and left the area.
Deputies determined from the license plate of the vehicle that Wallace was the owner, and located the vehicle at the intersection of Colorado St. and Blue Haven Ln.
Wallace told deputies that he was traveling through Washoe Valley when a vehicle began tailgating him. He said he moved over to allow the vehicle to pass, but the female driver started flipping him off and throwing items at his vehicle.
He told deputies he was concerned he might crash due to the items being thrown, and he admitted to taking out his handgun to “show the female driver that he was armed,” according to the report.
He said he did hold the handgun outside of the driver’s window but denied pointing it at the female driver, and he said he never fired the weapon.
Deputies arrested Wallace for three counts of assault with a deadly weapon, brandishing a firearm, two counts of child endangerment, and driving on a suspended registration.
He was booked into the Carson City Jail without incident.

— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested in the 1200 block of S. Curry St. for felony battery with substantial bodily harm, felony eluding and unlawful discharge of a firearm in public.
According to the arrest report, deputies were called to the residence of Kenneth Davis at 6:15 a.m. after the reporting party stated that Davis was punching him repeatedly in the face.
Davis then allegedly left the house and fired a gun before driving away in his truck. The reporting party told dispatch that Davis had a Glock on him when he left the house.
Deputies arrived on scene and attempted to stop the truck being driven by Davis. Davis then led deputies on a pursuit, and deputies eventually lost visual.
A short while later, the truck was found crashed into a house on W. 8th Street, and Davis was no longer inside the truck.
Deputies set up a perimeter but ultimately they could not locate Davis. They were, however, able to locate a loaded Glock pistol at the corner of 7th and Nevada St. A bullet casing was also located near the initial residence.
Approximately two hours later, deputies went back to S. Curry St. in an attempt to locate Davis or any witnesses to the incident that morning.
While investigating, the initial victim arrived on scene, and deputies noted his face was “severely swollen” and it appeared difficult for him to speak. He told deputies he wanted to grab his ID from inside the house.
When he exited with his ID, he told deputies that Davis was “inside his room whispering.”
Deputies established a perimeter and made announcements for Davis to come outside and surrender to deputies.
Davis exited the house and was arrested for battery with substantial bodily arm, felony eluding, and discharging a firearm in public.
Bail: $30,000
