A 69-year-old Dayton woman was arrested Tuesday for suspicion of misdemeanor petit larceny, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Deputies were called at 3:53 p.m. to Walmart in the 3200 block of Market Street for a reported larceny. Dispatch provided descriptions and advised that a woman reportedly stole a pair of children’s shoes from the store.
A deputy located the woman who matched the description given. She was holding plastic bags from Walmart with groceries inside. One of the bags appeared to be empty. The woman was detained. She admitted to taking the shoes from the store and ditching them into a shopping cart.
While speaking, the officer could smell an odor of alcohol coming from her person. She consented to a preliminary breath test with a result of .067. She was arrested for suspicion of petit larceny. Bail: $387.

— A 41-year-old Winnemucca woman was arrested Tuesday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A 52-year-old Washoe Valley woman was booked into jail Monday for misdemeanor probation violation and violation of conditions. Bail: $3,000 cash.
— A 34-year-old Carson City man was booked Monday for misdemeanor probation violation and violation of conditions. Bail: $3,000.
— A 33-year-old Carson City man was booked Monday for two misdemeanor contempt of court warrants. No bail hold in lieu of hearing.
— A 34-year-old Sparks woman was booked Monday into Carson City Jail for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant for failure to appear. Bail: $3,000.
