Community Development Director, Hope Sullivan, and members of the Planning Commission will host listening sessions in August at the library. The listening sessions will provide an opportunity for the community to share any concerns they may have with the recently adopted Master Plan Land Use Map.
“In adopting the updated Master Plan and associated map in May 2025, the Board of Supervisors requested that the Planning Commission review the land use map during its September meeting,” according to Hope Sullivan. “Input received during the listening sessions will be presented to the Commission at its meeting on September 24.”
The listening sessions are scheduled to be at the Carson City Library, 900 N. Roop St., on the following dates and times:
Monday, August 11, noon to 2:00 p.m.
Tuesday, August 12, 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Saturday, August 16, 10:00 a.m. to noon
The land use maps are available for review on the City’s website carson.org/mapgeo. Anyone who needs help navigating the map or has questions about it can call the City’s Planning Division at (775) 283-2180 or email planning@carson.org.
