Learn how to take care of your roses through the summer and into the fall with correct pruning and fertilizing at this free class happening Saturday.
Roses are tough and adaptable, but they will do better when pruned correctly with increased blooms and less disease. To produce all those beautiful flowers, they also need comprehensive fertilizing that will provide essential nutrition to grow their best!
The class is at 3 p.m. Saturday at the Wungnema House on the east side of Mills Park.
The class instructor, Suzy Miladin, is a Consulting Rosarian and has a B.S. in Ornamental Horticulture with an internship in roses. She has been a member of the American Rose Society for 27 years and is a UNR Extension Master Gardener.
This is a Bee City USA #76 presentation. Bee City USA #76 is a project affiliated with the Foundation for Carson City Parks and Recreation (carsoncityparks.org).
