Nevada Humane Society, Carson City branch Pet of the Week is Maxine, a fun, one-year-old pup with a friendly demeanor and a love for adventure. She enjoys the company of other dogs and gets along with them effortlessly.
Having previously lived with a cat, it became clear that a feline-free home would suit her best. Maxine is particular about her belongings and mealtimes, preferring not to share her toys or food, and it’s essential to give her space during these moments to ensure she feels comfortable and secure.
Here is what Maxine has to say: “Hi, I’m Maxine! I’m a lively pup who loves adventures and making new friends, especially at the dog park. I enjoy being around children and toddlers, as long as they respect my need for personal space and independence. Long walks where I can explore on a leash are my absolute favorite, and I love the freedom to roam and sniff everything around me. We’ll have the best time together!”
