The 11th Annual “Concert Under the Stars” fundraiser on Wednesday, July 10 for The Greenhouse Project of Carson City raised $53,000 that will go to the project’s education and agriculture program operations.
“The money goes towards operations,” said co-founder of Concert under the Stars Karen Abowd. “The Greenhouse Project is grateful to all who supported and volunteered to help to make the event a success.”
Eleven years ago, Concert under the Stars began in the parking lot of Adele’s before quickly outgrowing its boundaries and moving to the Brewery Arts Center.
This year, however, the venue changed again and the fundraiser was held on the driving range of the Eagle Valley Golf Club adjacent to the Centennial Sports Complex. The sold-out event featured headliners Firefall, Pure Prairie League and Poco.
