Carson City Fire Department was able to extinguish a small brush and tree fire Monday afternoon in a field off of Lompa Lane near Highway 50 East.
The call came into dispatch shortly before 2:30 p.m. regarding a brush fire in the area. Arriving firefighters located a small brush fire and a single tree burning, quickly knocking the fire out.
The cause is under investigation.
