Good day, star seekers. This week begins with the Moon fading from last week’s fullness into Tuesday’s Last Quarter Moon, asking us to sort, simplify and admit what has already served its purpose. Mercury is still retrograde in Cancer, keeping old conversations, family patterns and emotional loose ends close to the surface, while Neptune turns retrograde in Aries and pulls a little fog off the mirror. By Thursday, Venus enters Virgo, shifting affection from grand display to small acts of care. The week ends with the Sun meeting Mercury in Cancer, bringing a clearer word, memory or realization out of the static.

Aries

This week asks you to slow down inside your own house — literally, emotionally or both. Mercury retrograde may bring old family conversations back around, especially the ones everyone thought had been buried under the porch boards. Neptune turning retrograde in your sign may also make you question a dream, identity or plan you have been chasing on instinct. That is not failure. It is a chance to see whether the trail still leads where you thought it did.

Taurus

Communication is the main work this week, but not in a flashy way. You may need to clarify plans, revisit a conversation with a sibling or neighbor, or clean up a misunderstanding that started small and then wandered off like a loose goat. Venus entering Virgo brings warmth to creativity, romance and pleasure, but it also asks for discernment. Choose what feels real and sustaining, not what only photographs well.

Gemini

Money, self-worth and personal values are still under review. Mercury retrograde in Cancer may have you rethinking a purchase, income stream or old story about what you deserve. With Mars moving through your sign, you may feel restless and ready to act, but speed is not the same as strategy. The end of the week brings a clearer sense of what is worth keeping, fixing or walking away from.

Cancer

This is a personal week, Cancer. Mercury retrograde in your sign may bring old versions of yourself back into view, not because you need to become them again, but because something in them still wants to be understood. The Last Quarter Moon asks you to release a relationship pattern, contract or expectation that no longer fits. By the weekend, the Sun and Mercury meet in your sign, and something you have been trying to explain may finally come into words.

Leo

Jupiter is now in your sign, but this week still asks for quiet before the larger stage fully opens. Something private is being reviewed: an old grief, unfinished project, hidden fear or emotional habit you do not usually let other people see. Venus entering Virgo turns attention toward money and values, so watch the urge to spend as proof that life is expanding. You do not need to buy the new era all at once.

Virgo

Friends, groups and future plans are under review this week. Mercury retrograde may bring someone from the past back into your orbit, or make you question whether a current circle still matches the person you are becoming. Venus enters your sign on Thursday, softening your edges without dulling your judgment. Let yourself be seen, but do not confuse availability with obligation.

Libra

Your public life needs careful handling this week. Work, reputation, leadership or a long-term responsibility may require a second look, especially if there are old assumptions sitting underneath the plan. Venus entering Virgo asks for privacy, rest and a little emotional housekeeping behind the scenes. Do not mistake a quieter week for a wasted one. Some of the most important repairs happen where no one is clapping.

Scorpio

This week pulls your attention toward belief, travel, education, legal matters, publishing or the larger map of your life. Mercury retrograde may bring a plan back for revision, not cancellation. Neptune’s retrograde asks whether a daily routine, work pattern or health habit is built on hope instead of actual support. By the weekend, a wider truth may become easier to name. Let it be practical, not dramatic.

Sagittarius

Shared money, debt, intimacy, trust and emotional obligations may need a cleaner conversation. This is not the week for vague agreements or pretending you do not see the fine print. Venus entering Virgo helps your public life, but it also reminds you that competence is its own kind of charm. Handle the serious thing before it handles you. By the weekend, a memory or private realization may explain more than expected.

Capricorn

Relationships are still the terrain this week, especially with Mercury retrograde moving through Cancer. A partner, client, close friend or open conflict may bring up something familiar, and the temptation may be to respond from old muscle memory. Pause. The Last Quarter Moon asks what you are willing to stop carrying. You are not required to maintain every structure just because you once built it well.

Aquarius

Work, health, routines and daily maintenance are calling for review. This is the week to fix the system that keeps quietly breaking, whether that is a schedule, inbox, habit, chore pattern or agreement at work. Venus entering Virgo deepens questions around trust and shared resources, but it also makes careful repair possible. Do less pretending. The practical answer may be less glamorous, but it will hold.

Pisces

Creativity, romance, children and joy are highlighted, but Mercury retrograde asks you to revisit what actually makes you feel alive. Not what looks charming from the outside. Not what you used to love out of habit. Neptune, your ruling planet, turns retrograde this week and may make money or self-worth questions feel less foggy over time. Listen for the quieter answer. It is probably more useful than the dramatic one.

Guide for Stargazers

The Moon reaches its Last Quarter phase on Tuesday, July 7, then continues waning toward the New Moon on July 14. That means the week begins with some moonlight but gradually moves toward darker skies, especially late in the week and into the following weekend. For Carson City and northern Nevada, this is a good transition week: watch the Moon before dawn early on, then start planning for better dark-sky viewing as the Moon thins.

After sunset, Venus remains the easiest evening planet to find, low in the western sky as twilight fades. Jupiter is much harder now, sinking into the Sun’s glare, so do not count on it unless you have a very clean western horizon and sharp timing. The better show this week happens before sunrise, not after sunset.

On the mornings of July 11 and 12, look east before dawn for the waning crescent Moon near Mars and Saturn. Mars will appear as a small reddish point, while Saturn should be brighter and easier to pick out; Uranus is also in the general area, but it requires binoculars or a telescope. The Summer Triangle is now a reliable evening marker, and late-night stargazers can also look south toward Scorpius and Sagittarius as the Milky Way season builds toward darker skies around next week’s New Moon.
