A fire Saturday morning has destroyed several structures and burned 1.5 acres of vegetation east of Dayton in Stagecoach.
Central Lyon County Fire Protection District was called to the 5000 block of Pawnee in Stagecoach at 10:59 a.m. for a structure fire. Upon arrival units observed multiple out buildings and one residential structure on fire.
CLCFPD requested assistance from Storey County Fire. A Nevada Division of Forestry crew was returning from another assignment in the Austin area and direct responded to assist, said Lyon County Manager Jeff Page.
Stagecoach is located between Dayton and Silver Springs.
Fire crews are in mop up and now. There are no reported injuries or fatalities. Numerous structures and vehicles are destroyed and/or damaged.
The cause of the fire is under investigation. Fire investigators were called to the scene, said Page. We will post updates as we get more information.
