Carson City area casinos saw a 1.95 percent decrease in May gaming earnings, while South Shore Lake Tahoe saw a 23.49 percent increase, according to the latest figures from the Nevada Gaming Control Board.
Casinos in Carson City, Gardnerville, Minden and all other areas of Douglas County except for South Shore Tahoe saw gaming profits, also called “gaming win,” come in at $12,545,299 in May, down 1.95 percent from May 2025.
Meanwhile, casinos at South Shore Lake Tahoe, which includes the Stateline casino corridor, saw “gaming win” amount to $16,684,883 for the month, up 23.49 percent from May 2025. Casinos at North Lake Tahoe were down 10.74 percent, according to the report.
Statewide, Nevada’s nonrestricted gaming licensees reported a total “gaming win” of $1,388,340,168 for the month of May 2026. This amounts to a 7.43 percent increase compared to May 2025, when licensees reported a gaming win of $1,292,262,538. For the fiscal year (July 1, 2025 through May 31, 2026), gaming win has increased 2.76 percent.
Washoe County casinos saw “gaming win” increases as well, including 8.34 percent in the county, 11.07 percent in Reno and 0.68 percent in Sparks.
