Jeffrey James Heckman was born in Carson City, Nevada, to Bill and Andrea Heckman on November 21, 1971.
He left this Earth on May 22, 2026.
Jeff was a graduate of Douglas High School.
He worked primarily in construction, was a tinkerer, and loved taking things apart. He did not always put them back together.
Jeff was also an avid outdoorsman, having developed a love of hunting from an early age, and pursued with his dad, brother, uncles and cousins. One such hunting excursion outside Vya led to his survival of an attack by one of the largest mountain lions ever recorded in Nevada.
He had a fondness for birds and, as a young man, kept pigeons and a peacock or two.
Jeff is survived by his parents, Bill and Andrea, his brother, Bill Jr., and sister Jen. Jeff has a large family, too numerous to name, who are saddened by his early loss.
