At 5:21 p.m. Thursday evening a vehicle accident with injuries was reported in the 2700 block of Highway 50 E. near Lompa Lane.

A truck carrying “equipment” rear ended a smaller vehicle according to dispatch. A third vehicle which allegedly caused the accident fled the scene before responders arrived.

One person is complaining of a head injury. The truck is reported to be leaking what appears to be antifreeze.

First responders are enroute.

Motorists should avoid the area if possible.

Responders are searching for a Grey Chevy Pickup which left the scene after allegedly causing the accident. They headed eastbound on Highway 50 and have one occupant.
