NHP Investigating Fatal Crash at SR-445 and Sky Ranch Blvd
On Monday, May 31, 2021 at approximately 4:34 a.m., Nevada Highway Patrol Troopers responded to an injury crash at SR-445 (Pyramid Way) and Sky Ranch Boulevard in Spanish Springs.
Preliminary investigation shows that a gray 2004 Honda Civic was traveling wrong-way northbound on SR-445 in the left lane of the southbound travel lanes north of Sky Ranch Boulevard.
A white 2003 Toyota 4Runner was traveling southbound on SR-445 in the left lane approaching the Honda. The front of the Honda struck the front of the Toyota.
The driver of the Honda Civic (Michael Richey, a 64-year-old Carson City resident) was pronounced deceased on scene.
This incident is being investigated by the Nevada Highway Patrol Northern Command West Multi-Disciplinary Investigation and Reconstruction Team (M.I.R.T.) – NHP Case #210502251.
