Undead Film Lab, Carson City’s new analog photography and film shop, will host its Grand Opening and Gallery Launch Party this Saturday, June 6, from 6 to 9 p.m. at 1987 N. Carson St., Suite 25.

Owner Chris Harveybyrd said in addition to the ribbon-cutting, there will be music, cupcakes, and visitors can check out the new art gallery wall showcasing photographic prints taken by local analog (non-digital) photographers. He said these photos aren’t for sale, but rather, visitors can gain inspiration by seeing the variety of film’s capabilities taken by their friends and neighbors.

The celebration will also be offering 50% off all development for film dropped off during the three-hour period, which is also extended to customers who have already used their first-time half-off discount as well.

There will be free film giveaways, raffle prizes, discounts, as well as the grand raffle prize: an entire year of free film development!

For those interested in having their artwork showcased, the requirements are simple: they need to have been taken by an analog film camera, and they need to be ready-to-hang, meaning already framed, or printed and mounted on a frame medium such as metal, glass or canvas.
