Congratulations Christy Chamberlain for winning the 9th Annual Historic Preservation Scavenger Hunt. Out of 32 submissions only 9 were completely correct.
A drawing for the winner was held Friday, June 1. This year the focus was on columns, posts, pillars, or pedestals – features that reflect the architectural style of the building and provide a supporting role.
Columns with Ionic or Doric formal details, Victorian-era decorative spindle work, turned posts, faceted columns, tapered columns, and paired columns – all are present in the Carson City Historic District.
