Honoring our services members is the theme of this weekend, and there will be a ceremony at Lone Mountain Cemetery at 1 p.m. on Monday.
Current and retired military and their significant others can indulge in a complementary soak at the Carson Hot Springs. Empire Ranch Golf Course is offering a free round of golf with a military I.D., in addition to other specials.
Evergreen Gene’s on North Carson Street hosts their annual picnic on Monday: hamburgers and hot dogs for all.

- Family Day: $1 Specials at Carson Lanes
- Fifth Annual Memorial Day BBQ– hamburgers, hot dogs, sausages, etc. at Evergreen Gene’s: 1811 N. Carson St. (11am-4pm; free for everyone, store discounts for veterans)
- Live Music with CW and Mr. Spoons at Comma Coffee (11:30am-1pm; free)
- Annual Memorial Day Ceremony to honor Service Members at Lone Mountain Cemetery (1pm)
- Memorial Day Benefit Concert with Seasons of Insanity and Pig Roast sponsored by Viet Nam Veterans/ Legacy Veterans Motorcycle Club at Whiskey Tavern (1pm-7pm; benefit for the Northern Nevada Veterans Resource Center)
- Removal of American Flags from the gravesites of Veterans inside Lone Mountain Cemetery (4pm; the public is invited to help)
- Motocross Monday at the Feisty Goat Pub (6pm; wear some gear and your first drink is free)
- Motorcycle Mondays at Jimmy G’s Cigar Bar (6pm-10pm; Firefighter and Law Enforcement Discounts)
- Ladies Night with Adam and Eve at Remedy’s (6pm-10pm; specials for ladies)
- High Sierra Swing Dance Club’s Night Out at El Charro Avita (No Intermediate Swing lesson this week; open dance 7pm-9pm, free)
