UPDATE: At 11:42 a.m. the Lyon County Sheriff’s Office advised that it has lifted the “shelter in place” order. There is no immediate threat to the public.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office had requested a “shelter in place” order late Tuesday morning for the neighborhoods of Kadden Way and Lonnie Lane area in the Dayton area.

The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office responded to a report of a domestic violence call. Deputies confirmed the suspect had fled the area before their arrival to the scene, according to a news release. Deputies set a perimeter on the building and conducted a protective search of the property.

Deputies checked the surrounding residences and properties to insure the suspect was not in the area. The Sheriff’s Office held the “shelter in place” order until the search was concluded. The suspect has fled the area, and there is no immediate threat to the public.
