The Carson City School Board will hear a presentation of its Distinguished Student awards and recognize retiring school district employees of 10 or more years Tuesday, May 13, at its regular meeting.

The school board meeting begins at 6 p.m., at Carson High School’s Morse Burley Gymnasium, 1111 North Saliman Road in Carson City. Comments will be accepted in person, or through virtual participation via email; publiccomment@carson.k12.nv.us no later than 12:30 p.m. the day of the meeting. Email for public comment must include the submitting party’s full name. Email for public comment will be posted as a supplemental document and copies will be provided to the board members. Comments may be made by members of the public on any matter within the authority of this Board.

— The board will discuss action to approve a charter school agreement renewal between Carson Montessori School and the district for a term of 3 to 10 years, beginning July 1.

— Have a discussion of school board trustees’ nominations to the Nevada Association of School Boards for recognition consideration during NASB’s annual conference.

— Hear a Nevada legislative update by Superintendent Andrew Feuling.
