Local Rotarians will get a first look at Visit Carson City’s newest initiative — the Dust and Wonder Trail — at the upcoming Rotary Club of Carson City meeting. Eric Brooks, of Visit Carson City, will be the featured speaker at the luncheon on Tuesday, May 19, at noon in the Brewery Arts Center’s Grand Ballroom. The public is welcome to attend.
The Dust and Wonder Trail project will place 33 sculptures across Carson City, Carson Valley, Gold Hill, Silver City, and Virginia City, creating a unified destination that highlights the region’s art, culture, and history. One of the standout pieces will be a 69-foot-tall railroad spike, set to be installed at the Nevada State Railroad Museum. The public art project was funded by a grant from Travel Nevada.
Those interested in attending can RSVP by emailing carsoncitynvrotary@gmail.com. The Brewery Arts Center is located at 449 West King Street in Carson City.
