Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies responded late Monday morning to an accident involving a motorcycle rider in the 3100 block of North Carson Street.

The motorcycle rider reportedly went down in a crosswalk area and suffered lacerations to his arms and head. There are no reports at this time of other vehicles involved.

The rider was up and moving around suffering from road rash, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy on scene. The incident was reported at 11:07 a.m.

The roadway around the accident scene is blocked. Firefighters are checking him out for his injuries and whether he wants to be taken to the hospital for further evaluation. Motorists can expect delays.
