The Carson City Sheriff’s Office is looking for a few good volunteers. Openings are available for front counter and jail visitation duties.
Being able to volunteer is dependent on passing a basic background and finger print check. Eligible candidates must be able to read and write, perform basic clerical duties and work with the public.
Volunteers should be able to donate 4 to 8 hours per week. Jail visitation takes place on Sunday mornings and afternoons. Those people wishing to serve in that area will be required to work one or two Sundays a month and an occasional holiday.
