My name is Colleen Bannister and I have been a personal trainer for over 10 years. I have done many programs with kids over the years and I thought since it is Mother’s Day it was fitting to give a workout tip that parents can do with their children.

If I could stress one thing to parents I would say lead by example. I have no judgment because I have been the parent that is wrecked by Sunday and wants to sit on the couch, but I have also seen the kids who struggle most with weight and fitness are those with parents that say, rather than do.
