A 35-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday for domestic battery and gross misdemeanor indecent exposure after allegedly chasing his wife through a motel lobby naked, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Deputies were called at 5:40 a.m. to a motel in the 4600 block of South Carson Street for a domestic dispute. The reporting party advised there was a naked man yelling at a woman in the lobby.
Deputies arrived on scene and observed the naked man inside the lobby, with his genital and buttock area exposed and yelling through the interior window, according to the report. The man was detained. Motel staff advised the man was hitting the woman, who was inside the main lobby behind a locked door to keep the man out.
Motel staff provided a towel for the man to cover up. He was taken to the patrol vehicle and read his Miranda rights, which he understood and agreed to speak. He stated he is married to the woman and confronted his wife about cheating on him. Both began to argue inside the motel room. He stated he became loud and angry, scaring the woman, causing her to run out of the room to the lobby, the report states.
The deputy asked the man if he hit the woman in any way and he said yes. He stated he grabbed her by her hair and that was it. The deputy asked if the woman hit him in any way and he stated no, “she loves me,” the report states.
The deputy observed multiple red scratch marks on the man’s upper body. The deputy asked how he got the scratches. He did not answer. He stated the altercation took place inside the motel room.
The deputy spoke with the woman, who stated she was sitting on the bed when the man began arguing. She said the man grabbed her by the hair with one hand and hit her on the face with the other hand with an open palm, according to the report.
She stated he hit her in the face twice and let go of her hair where she ran out of the room into the lobby. She said the man chased her and staff was able to lock the man out before he got to her. The woman had red marks on both sides of her face, consistent with slap marked. She refused medical treatment.
A deputy spoke with the front desk staff who identified the two and advised the woman came running inside the lobby crying and appeared to have been beaten up. The man showed up naked, trying to get inside the lobby. Staff advised, multiple times, for the man to leave but he refused. Both staff members advised the man was fully naked, exposing his genital area to them and they wanted to press charges.
The victim was issued a domestic violence card by a deputy and photos were taken of her injuries.
The man provided a preliminary breath test of .192 and was placed into custody. He was taken to jail and booked for gross misdemeanor indecent exposure and misdemeanor domestic battery. Bail $3,000.
— A 67-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday for suspicion of misdemeanor DUI and driving with a revoked license.
According to the booking report a deputy was dispatched at 9:10 p.m. to the 3500 block of North Carson Street for suspicious circumstances. A deputy arrived and observed a vehicle parked on the center median of the driveway entrance to a parking lot.
The deputy contacted the sole occupant and asked if he was OK and how his vehicle got onto the median. The man stated he parked his vehicle on the median because he wanted to rest. The deputy asked him why he did not park in a parking space in the parking lot. He stated he did not know.
While speaking, the officer could smell a strong odor of alcohol coming from the vehicle. The deputy asked if he had any alcohol and he stated he did. While speaking the man was sitting in the driver seat of the vehicle and the keys were still in the ignition, the report states.
The deputy asked if he would consent to standardized field sobriety testa. The man stated he would. He showed signs of impairment on the tests and provided a preliminary breath test of .245. He was arrested for suspicion of DUI. He was taken to the hospital for medical clearance. While at the hospital medical staff noticed a cut and blood on the back of his head. He was given a CT scan to ensure there was no internal bleeding. The man consented to a blood draw. Bail: $1,137.
— A 31-year-old Carson City man was arrested early Tuesday for being a drunken person on a roadway. According to the booking report the man was walking, with black clothes on, in the middle of the road of Highway 50 East and the I-580 onramp.
A deputy asked the man why he crossed the street in that area where there was a nearby crosswalk in both directions He did not answer and said he was walking home. The man had red, watery eyes and had an odor of alcohol coming from his person. He provided a preliminary breath test of .143. Being that he was intoxicated and on a roadway, he was placed under arrest: Bail: $90.

— A 33-year-old Dayton woman was booked Sunday into Carson City Jail for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued in August 2019. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A 32-year-old man was arrested Sunday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued April 1, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $2,500.
— A 31-year-old Carson City woman was booked into jail Sunday for a misdemeanor contempt of court warrant issued Dec. 27, 2024 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,500.
— A 28-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday for two misdemeanor warrants issued out of Douglas County Justice Court. The warrants were from October 2020 and August 2019. Bail; $5,000.
