A man was taken into Carson City Sheriff’s Office custody Saturday afternoon after he took off running during a deputy stop near Winnie Lane, which led to a foot pursuit and subsequent capture near Northgate Lane.
It is unknown at this time what prompted the man to run from the deputy, however there was a victim who stated they wished to press charges. The incident began shortly before 1 p.m., with a foot pursuit and a deputy calling for backup when the man wouldn’t stop running. The deputy chased the subject through an alley, a storage unit facility and was seen jumping fences.
Multiple deputies surrounded and searched the area, where the man was located running near the Ron Wood Center. He was taken into custody. No injuries were reported.
