This week for Pet of the Week, our focus is on something that truly impacts Nevada Human Society each year: kitten season.

Kitten season occurs each year during the beginning of the warmer months and it’s when we see hundreds to thousands of kittens enter our care. Very often, they come in too young for adoption, and are in high need of foster support.

We currently only have a few foster homes and are expecting hundreds of litters this year, and these kittens need loving foster families to provide the support they need to thrive.

Kittens Like Me Need Your Support

Hi there! Kitten season is almost here, and soon, so many of us tiny, fluffy babies will need your help.

Some of us are just days old, with little noses and soft paws, and we’re hoping someone like you can give us a safe, loving place to grow.

By fostering, you can make a huge difference in our lives while we prepare for adoption!

Right now, we’re small and fragile. Those of us that are neonates need to be bottle-fed every 3 to 3.5 hours and kept warm in a cozy, quiet space.

Others might already be a little bigger but still need lots of love, care, and a helping hand to get ready for a forever family.

With you, we can grow strong, healthy, and happy.

To make sure you are prepared to save tiny lives like me, Nevada Humane Society will make sure you have everything you need!

For tiny kittens, they’ll give you bottles, formula, heat discs, and more. As we grow, they’ll provide litter, food, and other supplies to help support our development.

Some of us may have had a rough start, but with your kindness and support, we can learn what it feels like to be safe, loved and the purr-fect companions for our forever families.
