
A 49-year-old man was arrested Friday for a warrant alleging habitual criminal, evading and eluding a peace officer, two counts possession of a controlled substance and one count possession of paraphernalia, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Kenneth Dailey, listed of Morgan Hill, Calif., was arrested in Storey County and brought to Carson City Jail on the confirmed warrant, issued April 14, 2022 out of Carson City Justice Court. He was also booked on a fugitive from justice warrant out of Santa Clara County, Calif. Bail: $100,000.
In other arrests:
— A 19-year-old man, Phillip Maita, was arrested Saturday for suspicion of robbery, grand larceny of a motor vehicle, battery with a deadly weapon and misdemeanor DAS violation of bail conditions. According to the booking report, deputies responded to 20 College Parkway for a report of a man with a long knife banging on a door. Deputies arrived and located the man. A knife was located in his front pocket.
The man identified himself. Officers on scene learned he was alleged to have been involved in an earlier robbery, grand larceny of a motor vehicle and battery with a deadly weapon. Bail: $40,000.
— A 25-year-old man was arrested Friday for suspicion of felony assault with a deadly weapon and three lesser offenses, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Ty William Pendleton was taken into custody at 11:41 p.m. He was also booked for suspicion of tampering with a motor vehicle, violation of a suspended sentence and obstructing.
According to the booking report, the suspect allegedly threw a crowbar through the victim’s vehicle rear window following an argument. The victim was not injured. The crowbar lodged into the interior front lining. The victim exited the scene and contacted law enforcement. Estimated damage to his vehicle is approximately $5,000, according to the arrest report.
The suspect was contacted, where he was read his Miranda warning and agreed to speak. He admitted to instigating a verbal argument, but said it was the other male involved who made threats. He stated he used the crowbar as a defense against any potential physical advances from the male. He admitted to throwing the crowbar at the vehicle, however he denied seeing the man in the vehicle, the report states.
The suspect was on Department of Alternative Sentencing with conditions to obey all laws and not to consume alcohol. He provided a preliminary breath test of .142. Bail: $20,000.
— A 28-year-old man was arrested Saturday for four counts burglary with a deadly weapon, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Dakota Howell, listed as a transient, was taken into custody at 12:03 a.m. following an investigation in which multiple vehicles were burglarized. In one of the burglaries the suspect was seen in surveillance video provided by one of the victims, according to the arrest report.
The suspect was located by deputies with three backpacks on his person, one of which had a black knife on the back of the backpack, the arrest report states. During a check, deputies learned the suspect had failed to register as an ex-felon. Deputies interviewed the vehicle owners and had located stolen items in the backpacks. Bail: $20,000.
— A 28-year-old Carson City man, Colten Kirby Coralles, was arrested Friday for suspicion of felony parole and probation violation, possession of a controlled substance, gross misdemeanor obstructing and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. No bail hold in lieu of a hearing for parole and probation violation. A female with the suspect was also arrested for misdemeanor suspicion of obstructing. Bail: $500.
— A 44-year-old Fort Worth, Texas man, Oliver Ballestros, was arrested April 17, 1:05 a.m. on Highway 50 at the Lyon County border for a felony warrant out of Texas. Bail: $30,000.
— A 46-year-old man, Jack Chauncey Conner, was arrested April 16, 12:29 a.m. for suspicion of felony failure to comply/register as a sex offender. Bail: $5,000.
— A 30-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for a misdemeanor violation of suspended sentence warrant issued Oct. 20, 2021 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
