The Carson City Sheriff’s Office Traffic Unit would like to thank the citizens of Carson City for their help in locating a suspect in the March 26 hit and run crash that injured a moped rider.
The Traffic Unit was able to locate a suspect and conduct an interview with the suspected driver.
Working closely with the District Attorney’s Office the Traffic Unit was able to obtain a search warrant for the suspect vehicle, and arrest warrants for the driver and an accomplice. The arrests were affected on April 9 with the assistance of the Special Enforcement Team (SET). We are thankful for the community support and the collective teamwork of all teams and divisions involved.
