Carson City’s Underwater Egg Hunt is back this year on Saturday, April 4 at the Aquatic Center.
The event is free to attend, though preregistration is required. Children ages 6 and under participate in the Little Pool, while those 7 and older take part in the Big Pool. All children must be accompanied by a parent or adult, and safety guidelines—including swim attire and approved flotation devices—are in place to ensure a safe experience for all.
Each year, the Carson City Aquatic Center transforms into an underwater treasure hunt, where hundreds of colorful eggs are scattered both on the surface and beneath the water. Children are invited to grab their goggles and baskets to collect eggs, which they can then turn in for a special goody bag.
Each year, local businesses have gone above and beyond in donating enough prizes to make sure every child leaves with something to remember the day.
For example, this year marks five years of Roper’s Heating and Air Conditioning being involved in the event — they supply backpacks filled with Easter goodies for kids to take home.

“This event is one of those simple, joyful moments that families remember,” said Dirk Roper, owner of Roper’s Heating and Air Conditioning. “We’re grateful to be part of something that brings kids, parents and the community together in such a positive way.”
Roper’s is just one of many local businesses who donate each year; Carson City Toyota is a consistent sponsor of the event and has provided top tier prizes like new bikes in years past.
See for yourself what all the fuss is about this Saturday by registering you spot now, but don’t delay as reservations go quick!
