Carson City Fire Department responded Wednesday morning to a small brush fire near the rifle range in the 4000 block of Flint Drive off of Highway 50 East.
At around 7:20 a.m. Carson City dispatch received a report of a possible brush fire. A smoke column was visible in the area. The fire was reportedly 5 miles past the gate and was initially reported as a small fire putting up smoke.
Carson City Fire Department responded where a small fire was extinguished.
