Carson City Fire Department and sheriff’s deputies were called Sunday afternoon a crash involving a motorcycle in the area of Sierra Vista Lane near Carson River Road.
The call came into dispatch just before 1:45 p.m. of a motorcycle crash a mile south on Sierra Vista Lane, in which the reporting party said they were applying a tourniquet to injuries the victim suffered.
An arriving Carson City Sheriff’s Office deputy reports the rider suffered a serious injury to their leg.
A Care Flight air ambulance was ordered.
Motorists are advised to stay clear of the area.
The cause of the crash is under investigation.
