Lane closures and travel delays will take place on westbound U.S. 50 in Dayton March 25-27 as the Nevada Department of Transportation fills age-related cracking of the highway surface.
As part of a rolling work zone, single lane closures will take place 9 a.m.-2:30 p.m. March 25-27 on sections of westbound U.S. 50 between Winters Parkway and the State Route 341 intersection. Traffic will be reduced to a single lane.
While the majority of travel delays will be less, up to 30-minute delays can be expected. Motorists are advised to give extra travel time. Drivers should slow to posted work zone speed limits.
The road work schedule is subject to change.
In future weeks, motorists will also see similar lane reductions on eastbound U.S. 50 in the same area.
NDOT is filling age-related cracking of the highway surface to provide a smoother driving surface and help preserve the highway.
