The Lyon County Sheriff’s Office is providing an update to the fatal shooting that occurred on March 19, 2026, in Dayton.
The suspect has been identified as 60-year-old Dayton resident Greg Kevin Roller.
He was taken into custody and booked into the Lyon County Jail on one count of murder with use of a deadly weapon and one count of discharging a firearm where others may be endangered.
He is currently being held without bail.
This remains an active and ongoing investigation. Additional information will be released as it becomes available.
The identity of the victim is being withheld at this time pending notification of next of kin.
