Carson City Fire Department was called just after 4:30 p.m. to a vehicle crash involving a bicyclist at the intersection of Lompa Lane and College Parkway.
The bicycle rider, who was wearing a helmet, suffered minor cuts and bruises and was at fault in the crash, which happened when a pickup that was turning right onto Lompa Lane hit the bicyclist who went straight, said Carson City Sheriff’s Office Sgt. Scott McDaniel.
“It’s important for bicyclists and motorists to remember that as the weather gets warmer, there are more bicyclists on the road. Bicyclists must obey the same laws as motorists,” said McDaniel.
