The goal of the operation was to remove impaired drivers from Nevada’s roads through proactive enforcement efforts, coupled with the enforcement and public education regarding hazardous moving violations and distracted driving behaviors.

The operation resulted in: 171 enforcement stops; 7 driving under the influence arrests; 97 citations; 3 other arrests.

The Nevada Highway Patrol reminds motorists to always plan for a safe and sober ride and never drive impaired.

“Our troopers are committed to keeping Nevada’s roads safe,” said Nevada Highway Patrol Major Munoz. “Driving under the influence and speeding continue to be the top contributing factors for fatalities on our roadways. We remind motorists to always plan for a safe and sober ride and never drive impaired.”
