Carson City Fire Department responded Monday afternoon to a possible kitchen fire inside the residence of a home in the 1000 block of Lahontan Drive.
Called in 2:25 p.m. Carson City dispatch advised that the reporting party said there was smoke coming out of their oven and they thought they saw flames.
Carson City Fire Department first responders arrived to a single-story residence. There was no smoke showing outside the residence. Firefighters investigating said that there was no fire and that the smoke was confined to the microwave oven. All other arriving have been canceled.
