Carson High School is proud to recognize Clare Mulvihill as this week’s Senior in the Spotlight, a student who has left a meaningful mark on the CHS community through her leadership, curiosity and determination.
Clare began her journey at Carson High after attending Saint Teresa Catholic School through eighth grade. Moving from a small, close-knit K–8 environment into the large and busy setting of a comprehensive high school can be intimidating for many students, but Clare handled the transition with remarkable maturity. From the start, she took ownership of her high school experience, setting goals, checking in regularly with her counselor and thoughtfully reflecting on the path she wanted to create for herself.

Academically, Clare has pushed herself to the highest level. She has taken every Advanced Placement course available to her, embracing the challenge and committing the time and effort required to succeed. Clare currently ranks fifth in her entire class and boasts a 5.08 GPA.
Beyond her own studies, Clare is known for bringing others along with her, often organizing study groups and supporting classmates as a natural peer leader. Her intellectual curiosity and willingness to collaborate have made her a respected presence in the classroom. She has spent endless hours volunteering at her church, and she has worked as a summer camp counselor at the school which gave her her start, Saint T’s, working with kids ages 5-12 ensuring that their summer had just as much magic as hers did growing up.
Clare’s leadership also extends far beyond academics. She has been an active member of several CHS sports Teams. Freshman through Junior Year she was a JV soccer team member whose resilience, positivity and work ethic helped set the tone for her teammates on and off the field. In addition to soccer, she ran JV track and she was a varsity Ski team athlete.
She also currently serves as an officer in Carson High School’s National Honor Society, stepping up to help guide the organization during a transition in advisors and ensuring that her fellow members stayed connected and engaged. In addition, Clare has contributed her creativity and enthusiasm to Carson High’s arts programs, demonstrating a well-rounded commitment to the school community.
While Clare is driven and ambitious, what truly sets her apart is the way she pairs those goals with kindness and humility. She is someone who leads with both heart and determination — lifting others up while steadily working toward her own dreams. Those dreams are already beginning to take shape.

Clare has been accepted to Texas A&M University’s College Station campus, where she hopes to study agriculture and explore ways to improve and support the future of our country’s agricultural systems. She is incredibly excited to begin this next chapter and is currently working hard to secure scholarships that will help make this opportunity possible. Wherever her journey leads, there is no doubt that Clare will continue to lead, serve and inspire those around her.
