On Monday, March 10, 2025, at approximately 3:25 p.m., Lyon County Sheriff’s Office deputies responded to the area of Rawe Peak Drive and Sugarloaf Drive for a report of a juvenile incident/suspicious circumstances.
Deputies learned that at approximately 2:55 p.m., an adult white male, driving a light blue van, approached a male juvenile. The unidentified driver asked the juvenile if he wanted to take a tour of the Sutro Tunnel with him. The juvenile immediately left the area and went to his residence, while the van subsequently left the area, headed toward Highway 50.
The vehicle was described as a light blue (possibly sun damaged) panel-type van, with no windows in the back, chrome bumpers and no license plate. The driver was described as a bald, heavy-set, adult white male, wearing a tie-dyed jacket and was “freshly shaven.”
