A 31-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Saturday for suspicion of felony child abuse/neglect, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Following an investigation, CCSO deputies arrested the woman. Carson Now is withholding their name to protect the juvenile’s identity. According to the booking report, deputies were called to the 3800 block of Highway 50 east for a dispute. Dispatched advised the woman was attempting to pick up her daughter at the address.
Deputies arrived where the woman stated it was her father’s birthday the previous day and was asked that she pick the daughter up. The woman stated the daughter went to the residence and ended up staying the night. She stated when she went to pick up the daughter, no one answered the door. Deputies observed the woman to be very agitated during the interaction, according to the report.
The woman’s mother said that she had been drinking and hit her daughter. When the woman, now the suspect, was asked if she hit her daughter, she responded stating “yeah, I hit her.” She then freely and willingly provided a preliminary breath test with a partial of .126.
Deputies made contact with the daughter at the residence. She stated she was playing with a friend when her mother called her to do the dishes. She stated she went to do the dishes and completed the task. She stated she asked to go back to her friend’s house because she left her tablet there. She stated her mother then started grabbing her arms and hit her in the face. She stated she then called (redacted name) to pick her up so she didn’t have to be around her mother. She stated she didn’t want to go back with her mom because she was intoxicated and she was scared of her, according to the report.
The daughter was visibly shaken during the whole interaction and showed the deputy a video of her arms and face. The deputy observed marking on her arm and a red mark on the right side of her upper lip, the report states. The officer then observed the girl’s arms, observing scratches and bruising on her upper right arm and scratching and bruising on her upper left arm. The deputy observed what appeared to be minor swelling and red marks on her upper right lip. The deputy took photographs of all injuries and booked them into evidence.
Deputies interviewed the mother again, who stated that if her daughter would listen, there wouldn’t be a problem. The woman asked the deputy if she could hit her kid. The deputy stated that she can discipline her children but cannot leave marks. She would not answer any further questions about how the marks got on her daughter’s arms. She was arrested for suspicion of felony child abuse/neglect. Bail: $50,000.
In other arrests:
— Two were jailed Saturday for felony suspicion of domestic battery related crimes, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report.
Arrested were Adina Guerrero for suspicion of domestic battery with a deadly weapon causing substantial bodily harm, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug paraphernalia. Also arrested was Albert Rodriquez for suspicion of domestic battery with strangulation, possession of a controlled substance and misdemeanor possession of drug parpahernalia.
According the the booking report, deputies were called for reports of domestic battery. A reporting party told dispatch there was a male on top of a female in the parking lot. The male was later identified as Rodriguez. The female was later identified as Guerrero. Deputies were advised the woman had left the location on foot but that the man was still on the premises.
Deputies attempted to make contact Rodriquez, who refused to open the door and said he did not want to speak with officers to get his side of the story. The deputy was then notified by a sergeant that he had located the woman. Deputies began interviewing witnesses to the altercation.
One witness stated they were watching the security camera footage when they saw the male suspect hit the female (Guerrero) multiple times before throwing her onto the ground. Guerrero had bruising on her face and scratches consistent with being hit and thrown to the ground, the report states.
Deputies viewed video footage that showed Guerrero walking around the man’s truck with a knife. She attempts to walk upstairs to a room when a bike is thrown downstairs toward her. Rodriguez emerges from the stairwell seconds later and pushes Guerrero, the report states. He then slaps her multiple times before she raises the knife toward him. She then runs to the west side of his truck. At this point, Rodriguez is still confronting Guerrero. He then turns his back to the woman and starts to walk away. As he is walking away, Guerrero raises the knife and slashes across Rodriquez’s back cutting his shirt. He then turns and starts to hit and kick her multiple times. He then grabs her around the throat and wrestles her to the ground. He then gets the knife from her before proceeding upstairs to walk to a room. Guerrero then walks off the premise, the report states.
Deputies were preparing for a search warrant, however they were able to talk the man out of his room where he was then arrested by deputies, the report states.
A search warrant was applied for and granted to search a room for the knife used by Guerrero. While performing the search warrant for the knife, deputies located a hypodermic needles with clear fluid in plain view on the nightstand by the couple’s bed. Two vials were also discovered in plain view in the bedroom. One of the vials was empty however the other still had clear fluid inside, the report states. There were also two glass pipes with white residue discovered in plain view in the couple’s bedroom. Inside the bedroom, officers discovered court paperwork and three knives that fit the description given by Guerrero. inside the kitchen area of the room. All drugs, drug paraphernalia and knives were booked into evidence.
Guerrero was taken to Carson City jail and booked. Rodriquez was taken to the hospital for medical clearance because he demonstrated signs of being under the influence of drugs. He was cleared by medical staff and taken to jail. Bail for Guerrero, $20,000. Bail for Rodriguez, $7,500.
— A 37-year-old man was arrested Monday, March 2 for suspicion of battery/abuse of an elderly person, open or gross lewdness, according to a Carson City Sheriff’s Office booking report. Following an investigation, deputies arrested Mark Burgor. He was also booked for violation of probation conditions.
According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched at 3:50 p.m. to the 1800 block of East William Street for a reported battery. Deputies arrived and observed the victim with lacerations to his head and face. The victim reported that a man with a ponytail, wearing white pants, approached him smelling of alcohol. The male, later identified as Burgor, allegedly pushed the victim in the chest, leading to a physical altercation in which both men fell to the ground. The victim described the suspect as being heavily intoxicated and stated that he fled westbound toward Mills Park. Another person who witnessed the incident from inside the building, advised there should be surveillance footage.
Another witness reported seeing the suspect striking the victim in the head before leaving the area. The fire department evaluated the victim at the scene, but he declined transport to the hospital, the report states. Photos were taken of the injuries.
While on scene, the deputy reviewed video evidence. In the footage, the suspect was seen standing in close proximity to the victim, who appears to attempt to push the suspect’s hands away from his chest. The victim backs away as the suspect who advances toward him with closed fists and in a fighting stance, according to the report.
Anticipating a physical confrontation, the victim is shown attempting to separate himself and both men fall to the ground, briefly moving out of frame. When they reappear, the suspect is seen on top of the victim, striking him in the head with a closed right fist and appearing to hold him in a choke hold. Bystanders intervened and broke up the fight. The video shows the suspect attempting to approach the victim again after the altercation.
Other deputies later took the suspect into custody and then to the hospital for medical clearance. He was then taken to jail without incident.
Later, at 6:35 p.m. deputies received a call from a person who advised that prior to the man’s arrest, he was captured on video urinating in a public park in front of children. The person provided video. Upon review, the deputy observed the man with his hands at his waist while urinating. The incident happened at around 4 p.m. The suspect was near where there were several public restrooms at Mills Park and picked a bush that did not have leaves on it. Children are visible playing on the swings in the background. Bail: $15,000.
— A 20-year-old Carson City man, Anthony Meinen, was arrested Saturday for suspicion of animal abuse. According to the booking report, deputies were called to the 500 block of Jeanell to assist animal control officer with a possible abuse of a dog. A witness showed a video of the man hitting a dog twice with a flat pan on the head.
Deputies went to the apartment and the suspect answered the door. There was a dog running around the apartment and came to greet officers at the door. The deputy told the suspect why they were there and told him about the video and how it showed him hitting the dog with a frying pan.
The man said he was having issues with his dog eating the floor and walls and got upset and said that he overreacted by hitting the dog. He said that he hit the dog (Bucky) twice on the head. He said that there was no blood and the dog did not get dizzy. The deputy asked the man if he would surrender Bucky to Animal Control. He said he was not sure, but finally did sign Bucky over to Animal Control, which then took custody of the dog.
The deputy took the man into custody and explained to him that he was being booked with felony animal abuse. The man said he understood and said that he was sorry. Bail: $2,500.
— A 26-year-old Carson City man, Donald Earl Robertson III, was booked for a felony bench warrant issued out of Nevada County, Calif. Robertson has been in Carson City Jail custody since Feb. 26, 2026. The California warrant is extraditable. No bail hold.
— A 44-year-old Sparks man was arrested Monday, 6:04 p.m. in the 2000 block of East William Street for suspicion of possession of a controlled substance and possession of drug paraphernalia. Bail: $2,500.
— A 32-year-old man was arrested early Tuesday for a misdemeanor warrant issued Oct. 13, 2025 out of Carson City Justice Court, alleging destruction of property. Bail: $500.
— A 35-year-old Carson City man, Nathaniel Bailey, was arrested Saturday for felony parole and probation violation. No bail hold in lieu of hearing.
— A 26-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of driving with a revoked license and Department of Alternative Sentencing violation. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A 64-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday in the 1000 block of Roundhouse Lane for suspicion of DUI. According to the booking report, deputies were dispatched at around 2 p.m. for an attempt to locate a suspected intoxicated driver. The reporting party stated a man went into a casino with five silver cans and watched them leave without the silver cans and believed they were intoxicated. They man then got into a truck.
The truck was spotted by a Drone as a First Responder (DFR) and was seen committing several traffic infractions, the report states. The man then got out of the vehicle on Roundhouse Lane. A deputy pulled into the address and observed the man standing next to the driver door of the truck, the report states.
The officer made contact with the man and could smell an odor of alcohol coming from his person. The man had slurred speech and had a difficult time maintaining balance. The man stated he only had one beer before driving. The deputy asked if he would submit to standardized field sobriety tests. The man refused to submit to the tests. He was placed under arrest for suspicion of DUI.
Meanwhile the DFR shared the footage of what they had found with the man’s driving pattern. Deputies watched as the man’s truck crossed over the double yellow line multiple times on Little Lane. The man’s truck drove over the double yellow lines on Little Lane and nearly collided with an oncoming vehicle at one point. At the stop sign on Little Lane and Saliman Road, the driver did not stop behind the line before starting to proceed northbound on Saliman, nearly hitting a different vehicle.
Due to the man’s refusal for evidentiary testing, the deputy initiated an application for a warrant for a single series blood draw. The warrant was granted by a judge. The man was taken to the hospital for the blood draw and then to jail. Bail: $1,137.
— A 37-year-old man was arrested Friday for a misdemeanor warrant alleging use or possession of drug paraphernalia. The warrant was issued Feb. 27, 2026 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000 cash.
— A 67-year-old Carson City man was arrested Friday for a misdemeanor bench warrant issued Feb. 24, 2026 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $500 cash.
— A 55-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday for suspicion of driving without proof of insurance and obstructing. Bail: $740.
