The Leisure Hour Club is pleased to announce its upcoming meeting on March 19, featuring guest speakers Ron Norton and Barbara Wickman from the renowned nonprofit organization, ComputerCorps.
As technology continues to evolve at breakneck speed, Norton and Wickman will provide an insightful look into how ComputerCorps bridges the “digital divide” by recycling electronics and providing affordable technology to those in need. The presentation will cover the organization’s mission, its impact on the local community, and practical tips for staying tech-savvy in a rapidly changing world.

Ron Norton and Barbara Wickman have been instrumental in the growth of ComputerCorps, a volunteer-based organization dedicated to “Every Home a Computer.” Their work focuses on environmental stewardship through responsible e-waste recycling and community empowerment through technical education and equipment distribution.
Cheryl Rookwood, Leisure Hour Club 2nd Vice President noted that “Technology is no longer a luxury; it’s a necessity for staying connected with family and the community. We are thrilled to have Ron and Barbara share their expertise and the incredible work being done right here in our backyard.”
