A 53-year-old Carson City man was arrested Saturday on felony drug charges following a traffic stop and subsequent search warrant that led to more than 170 grams of methamphetamine seized.
Carson City Sheriff’s Office Special Enforcement Team detectives conducted a traffic stop for speeding at Goni Road and College Parkway in Carson City and made contact with the driver, Miky Sears, advising him for the reason of the stop, according to CCSO in a news release.

Special Enforcement Team K9, Cash, was used for a free air sniff of Sears’ vehicle and provided a positive alert to the vehicle, the release states. Detectives searched and located 29.63 grams of methamphetamine inside of a cleaning container with a “false bottom.”
Miky Sears was placed in custody. SET detectives received a search warrant on Miky Sears’ residence, locating an additional 141.36 grams of methamphetamine inside a trailer on property belonging to Sears.
The total amount of methamphetamine seized was 170.99 grams, according to CCSO. Miky Sears was booked into Carson City Jail for suspicion of four counts of possession of a controlled substance third offense, possession of a controlled substance with intent to sell, also third offense, second offense trafficking a controlled substance, and habitual criminal.
