Carson City Health and Human Services is reporting its weekend COVID-19 statistics for the capital city, Quad County area from Feb. 13 to Feb. 16, 2021.
Saturday (2/13/2021)
There were 26 new cases and 53 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region. This brought the total number of cases to 11,005, with 8,527 recoveries and 201 deaths; 2,277 cases remained active.
Sunday (2/14/2021)
There were 23 new cases and 49 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region. This brought the total number of cases to 11,028, with 8,576 recoveries and 201 deaths; 2,251 cases remained active.
Monday (2/15/2021)
There is no update for Monday, February 15, 2021 due to the President’s Day holiday closure.
Tuesday (2/16/2021)
Today we are reporting 13 new cases and 59 additional recoveries of COVID-19 in the Quad County region. The weekend numbers and today’s numbers bring the total number of cases to 11,041, with 8,635 recoveries and 201 deaths; 2,205 cases remain active.

Quad-County COVID-19 vaccination event in Yerington rescheduled from Wednesday to Friday
Carson City Health and Human Services is rescheduling the COVID-19 vaccination event that was scheduled for Wednesday, Feb. 17, 2021 at the Lyon County Fairgrounds in Yerington. This second dose event is rescheduled for Friday, Feb. 19, 2021 at the Lyon County Fairgrounds in Yerington. The appointment times will remain the same. CCHHS is not cancelling events or appointments; events will be rescheduled; the appointments will not be canceled.
Due to winter weather occurring across the country, there has been in a delay in the delivery of the COVID-19 vaccine allocation to CCHHS. After assessing current vaccine inventory, CCHHS is rescheduling the Yerington second dose vaccination event that was originally scheduled for tomorrow, February 17, 2021 at the Lyon County Fairgrounds in Yerington.
The event is now scheduled for Friday, February 19, 2021 at the Lyon County Fairgrounds in Yerington (100 US Highway 95a E, Yerington). Those who were scheduled to receive their second dose at this event will not need to make an appointment.
Appointment times will remain the same. Individuals will receive an email confirmation of their second dose appointment with the new date. If the individual does not have an email, they will receive a phone call from CCHHS notifying them of the rescheduled date.
This event was for those who received their first dose of Moderna COVID-19 vaccine on January 20, 2021. The Moderna COVID-19 vaccine is a series vaccine consisting of two doses administered 28 days apart.
As the winter weather continues across the country, additional events may be rescheduled. If an event is rescheduled, all patients will be notified. Testing is for Quad-County (Carson City, Douglas, Lyon, and Storey County) residents ONLY, all others will be turned away. Events may be canceled 48 hours in advance if inclement weather is expected.
