A 24-year-old transient was arrested Monday for two felony warrants and giving an officer a wrong name after he was stopped, a Carson City sheriff’s deputy said.

Daniel Mark Redding was arrested at 3:07 p.m. in the area of 8th and Fall streets. The two warrants were for failure to appear and probation violation. He’s being held without bail in lieu of a hearing on those warrants. Bail for the charge of using false identification: $5,000.

In other arrests:
— A 56-year-old Carson City woman, Kimberly Ann Green, was arrested Monday, 6:35 p.m. in the 300 block of West Ninth Street for a felony possession of a controlled substance warrant issued Feb. 10, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $2,500.

— An 18-year-old Carson City woman was arrested Monday, 9:04 p.m. in the area of 20 College Parkway for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery. According to the arrest report, the woman allegedly punched her mother in the face.

As officers met with the suspect in the parking lot of the apartment complex, she shouted “mom, I didn’t mean to hit you,” “it was an accident” and “I was in the moment,” according to the arrest report. Bail: $3,137.

— A 47-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 12:11 p.m. in the area of East Nye Lane and Concord for misdemeanor suspicion of domestic battery.

According to the arrest report, the man was in an argument with his daughter over car keys when he allegedly pulled her from a couch and hit her in the upper part of her back. The arresting deputy observed redness to the upper part of her back and left arm. Bail: $3,137.

— A 27-year-old Carson City man was arrested Monday, 10:28 a.m. in the 2400 block of Havenwood Court for misdemeanor battery and drawing a deadly weapon warrants issued Feb. 6, 2017 out of Carson City Justice Court. Bail: $1,000.
